When your phone screen needs replacing
A crack is the obvious sign, but not the only one. Look out for:
- Cracks or spider-web lines, even small ones near the edge that are slowly spreading
- Touch that does not respond in one area, or "ghost touches" where the phone taps by itself
- Glass lifting away from the frame
- Black patches, coloured lines or a screen that stays dark while the phone still rings or vibrates
Some of these have other causes. A dark screen can be a fully drained battery or a loose connector after a drop. Ghost touches sometimes come from a lifted tempered glass or a poorly earthed charger. How the doorstep screen replacement works
You book a slot and a trained, background-checked technician comes to your home or office. They inspect the phone in front of you, confirm what is wrong and give you a price. Nothing is opened until you approve.
Once you say yes, the old screen is removed, the frame cleaned, and the new screen fitted and sealed while you watch. Before you pay, you test touch across the whole screen, brightness, Face ID or fingerprint, and calls.
Part options and what affects the price
You choose between two grades of replacement screen: A-grade and standard quality. A-grade is a higher-quality part with better brightness, colour and touch feel; standard costs less and suits an older or backup phone. We explain the difference in more detail in A-grade vs standard phone screens.
The price depends mainly on your phone model, the screen type (LCD or OLED) and the grade you pick. There are no fixed prices; the technician confirms the final amount after inspection and before any work starts. A small visit charge applies, and it is adjusted against the bill if you go ahead. How long it takes
Most screen replacements take about 30 minutes after inspection and your approval of the quote. Some models with more involved assemblies can take longer, and the technician will tell you upfront.
Warranty
Every screen replacement carries a 90-day Refits warranty on the same issue: if the same fault comes back within 90 days, we fix it again. New physical or liquid damage after the repair is not covered.

Frequently asked questions
Can I keep using a phone with a cracked screen?
For a short while, but cracks spread, splinters can cut fingers and dust gets in. Replace it before touch starts failing.
Will I lose my data?
A screen replacement does not touch your storage, so your photos and apps stay as they are. Keeping a backup is always sensible before any repair.
Is it 30 minutes from when I book?
No. The roughly 30 minutes is the repair time after the technician has inspected the phone and you have approved the quote. Arrival time depends on the slot you book.
Only my glass is cracked; the display works. Can you replace just the glass?
On most modern phones the glass, touch layer and display are bonded, so the whole assembly is replaced.
How do I pay?
After you have tested the phone, you can pay by UPI, card, net banking or cash.
