Common iPhone problems we see
Cracked or unresponsive screen
This is the most frequent iPhone repair. Sometimes the glass is cracked but the display works; sometimes there are lines, black patches or touch that stops responding in one area. Newer iPhones use OLED panels, while some older and budget models use LCD, and this affects which replacement suits you. More on that on our screen replacement page.
Battery health dropping
If Battery Health in Settings shows a low maximum capacity, or the phone shuts down at 20 to 30 percent, the battery has likely worn out. A battery replacement usually brings back a full day of use.
Charging port problems
Loose cable fit or charging only at a certain angle is often lint packed into the Lightning or USB-C port from pockets and bags. Sometimes careful cleaning is enough; if the port itself is damaged, it can be replaced. See charging port repair.
Cracked back glass
iPhones with a glass back can crack from a single drop on a hard floor. We replace back glass on glass-back models, depending on part stock for your model.
Other faults
We also repair front and rear cameras, speakers and microphones, power and volume buttons, SIM card slots, and some motherboard component faults.
Part options: A-grade or standard
For most iPhone repairs you can choose between an A-grade part and a standard part. A-grade parts are the higher quality option, usually with closer colour, brightness and touch feel. Standard parts cost less and suit an older phone or a tighter budget.
What affects the price
We do not have fixed prices because they really do vary. The final price depends on:
- Your exact iPhone model (a newer Pro model costs more than an older base model)
- The type of repair and part involved
- The part grade you choose, A-grade or standard
A small visit charge applies, which is adjusted against the bill if you go ahead. The technician confirms the final price after inspection and before any work starts.
Warranty
Every repair comes with a 90-day Refits warranty on the same issue. If the same fault comes back within 90 days, we fix it again. Physical or liquid damage after the repair is not covered.
Independence and your Apple warranty
Refits is an independent repair service. Refits is not an Apple Authorised Service Provider and is not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by Apple. If your iPhone is still under Apple warranty or AppleCare, check before booking, because independent repair may affect any remaining manufacturer warranty. Also note that on some iPhone models, after a screen or battery replacement by an independent service, the phone may show a parts notice in Settings, and features such as battery health readings or True Tone may behave differently. The technician will tell you what to expect for your model.

How long does an iPhone screen replacement take?
Most screen replacements take about 30 minutes after inspection and your approval of the quote. Other repairs, such as back glass, may take longer.
Will my data be deleted?
A screen or battery replacement does not normally involve your data, but back up to iCloud first if the phone still turns on.
Do you repair every iPhone model?
